Another day another major problem with Ford's story

It's becoming more and more clear why Democrats didn't lead off the Kavanaugh hearings with Ford's explosive claim of attempted rape.  As her story unravels in the around two weeks since she went public it's clear that the Democrats knew that her credibility would have a very short shelf life so that they had to wait until after the last minute to reveal her.

Today's "bombshell", in scare quotes only because there are so many of them not because it isn't a big deal, is that a former boyfriend of hers has stated, under oath, that she coached someone else on how to take a polygraph.

Remember that a polygraph is not a lie detector.  Rather it measures how your body responds when you answer questions.  With proper coaching, and/or by using certain techniques to alter your bodies responses, it's quite possible to "beat" the polygraph.  After all infamous spy Aldrich Ames did so multiple times.

A trained psychologist like Ford would know how to beat the polygraph though according to her former boyfriend she merely explained how a polygraph works so that the person being tested wouldn't be overly upset prior to being polygraphed; if a person is very nervous about the test, even if it's about the test itself not because they're lying, it can impact the results.

The problem is that Ford was asked, under oath, if she had ever helped anyone with a polygraph and she said no.

Why lie?

We know that Ford will lie about anything even if she knows she will be caught. After all for someone who regularly flies across the country and who has flown to Tahiti for a vacation to say that they are afraid of flying is a lie that will be detected immediately.  Yet even in her Congressional testimony she tried to make it seem that her flying to DC was a big deal.

I know people who are afraid to fly. They don't fly thousands of miles over the Pacific to Tahiti for a vacation.  Perhaps Ford doesn't like flying.  But that wouldn't have precluded her from showing up at Congress to testify in a more timely manner just as it didn't stop her from vacationing in Tahiti.

But since there is absolutely no corroborating evidence for Ford's claim and all the witnesses she has identified, including a life long friend, say no such party ever happened the only basis for Ford is her own credibility--which given her long silence and her inability to remember things that happened a month ago call into question--buttressed by her passing a polygraph.

Hence if we know that she knows how to beat the polygraph her one last claim to credibility goes down the toilet which is why she would have to lie about having coached someone about how to deal with a polygraph.

Like all of Ford's lies this one was designed to protect her and further her objective of destroying Kavanaugh.
