Hillary defends the double standard

Hillary is saying that her husbands affair with a subordinate was not an abuse of power and that he shouldn't have resigned.

Well first Bill wasn't impeached because he had an affair; he was impeached because he lied under oath in order to avoid losing a civil lawsuit for sexually harassing, by exposing himself, another of his subordinates when he was governor of Arkansas.

He ended up having to settle with that subordinate, paying her a small fortune, which is generally not the case when someone's innocent.  That accuser had a very credible case against him; unlike Dr. Ford and Justice Kavanaugh.

So by today's #MeToo standards Bill should have had to step down but that's not what Hillary is saying.

In the corporate world even consensual affairs between bosses and subordinates are sufficient to drive the boss out of a job.  This is necessary because even if the boss doesn't give his paramour special treatment the other women who work for him will feel pressured to offer sex because they realize that a level playing field is nearly impossible in that situation; that's what women say. Yet Hillary is saying that that same standard shouldn't apply to Bill.

Apparently refuted baseless allegations against Kavanaugh are enough to keep him off the Supreme Court in the eyes of Democrats but proven charges of perjury related to sexual harassment aren't relevant to Bill's fitness to be President.

That's why Keith Ellison, who has been credibly accused by two women of assault, is still the Democrat candidate for Attorney General in Minnesota.  The Democrats concern about women is really only about their utility in attacking Republicans. Other than that Democrats could care less what happens to women.

A vote for any Democrat in November will help those misogynistic folk continue to exploit and use women.
