Prior to that Blacks had voted Republican since it was the Republicans who ended slavery and who passed the 14th Amendment while Democrats were going around demanding segregation and founding the KKK.
That's not unreasonable in that while one can live with racism it's hard to live without a job especially back in FDR's time when there was no welfare state.
But now three separate polls have shown Black support for Trump around 33-34% which is astonishing since he only got 9% of the Black vote--which was actually good showing for a Republican.
Could that be that Blacks are noticing that under Trump Black unemployment has plummeted? After all the #FakeNews media was telling us how great the economy was when Black unemployment was amazingly high so perhaps Blacks have learned not to trust the #FakeNews media over what they see with their own eyes.
Given that Trump hasn't done anything that an honest person can call racist it's clearly in Black's interest to support him since he's on their side and his economic policies have resulted in Black unemployment dropping drastically.
We can only hope and pray that Blexit is happening and that Blacks are seeing which policies actually benefit them the most.
Also of course the reality is that in America today its Democrat policies that are racist:
- Democrats ignore the ongoing mass shooting of Blacks in Chicago and other Democrat run cities
- Democrats oppose school choice for Blacks even though Blacks want it
- Democrats are for mass illegal immigration that drives down Black salaries
- Democrats are for abortion even though it's the leading cause of death for Blacks in America
- Democrats don't care that Black women are 3 times as likely to abort as white women
- Democrats don't want to change the welfare system even though it's leading to broken Black families and high crime rates
If Blacks return to the party of Lincoln it will only make their lives, and our lives, better.
