Poor kids may not be able to learn music thanks to the riots

George Floyd robbed and beat a woman. But he apparently turned his life around.

The people who are "protesting" his death haven't made that turn themselves.

A landmark in Santa Monica for the last 5 decades has been the Santa Monica Music Center.  Privately owned and manage its mission was to bring music to everyone.

It rented out instruments at low rates to local schools and anyone who couldn't afford their own instrument. It taught people how to play.

But after the riots that may all be over.

When the owners tried to stop looters who were taking everything from musical instruments to computers they had guns pointed at them.

The police were no where to be found.

When the owners called 911 they were told that the police couldn't get there but if they had guns they could protect their own property.

Given that the Democrats who run California have made it nigh on to impossible for regular folk who aren't really rich to buy a gun in California and if you can buy one it won't be one that would discourage looters that advice was as useless as the police were.

Even better the cops won't be able to get around to taking a report for 2 to 3 weeks. That would seem to indicate that the fate of the Santa Monica Music Center isn't unique.

The owners have one of the looters cell phones but that didn't interest the police enough for them to come by sooner.

The owners are minorities but that didn't matter to the looters which is pretty indicative of the fact that the rioting isn't about George Floyd.

The looters were of every age and ethnicity but the majority were young men.

Needless to say the mayor of Santa Monica is a Democrat.
