Some people have wondered if the China virus was a chastisement that has resulted from our societies embrace of promiscuity and abortion. After all it was the deliberate lies and the refusal to address the disease by the Chinese Communist government that directly led to the pandemic.
But historically barbarian invasions have also been viewed as God punishing His people in order to bring them back to His Truth.
Christians prayed to be saved from the Vikings, the Mongols, and the Muslims.
Today the latest wave of barbarians are Democrat politicians.
Just like the Vikings they want to plunder your wealth so they can spend it the way they want to.
Just like the Mongols they want to rule over you with complete authority.
Just like the Muslims they want to change what you believe about God.
Doubt that? Here are some examples:
All Democrat politicians are for much higher tax rates. Some even want to take a chunk of your 401K or your savings. They won't use it for things that help you but they will use it to pay off people who vote for them and to advance the causes that they, Democrat politicians, like.
Democrats don't believe that their power over you is limited by the Constitution. They believe that they can tell you how much soda you can drink, what sort of straw you can use, and what sort of car you can drive. The Green New deal calls for getting rid of cows, no beef for you, planes, take a multiday train ride rather than a 4 hour plane flight, and massive tax increases.
Democrats believe that they have the right to tell you what your religious beliefs must be. Hillary Clinton said that people of faith are going to have to change what they believe to conform to what the Democrat party says is acceptable.
Democrat politicians were supported Obama's efforts to force Catholic nuns to help provide abortions as well as courts that tried to force Evangelical Christians to support gay weddings.
Most recently Democrat politicians have done all they can to keep churches closed, including sending in the police, while allowing pot shops and abortion mills to conduct business as usual. Clearly Democrat politicians think religion is unimportant.
Like all barbarians Democrat politicians don't believe in the liberties we Americans are granted by the Constitution.
They say that any speech they don't like, especially if it's factually correct, is "hate speech" and should be censored and silenced. To them the 1st Amendment means that they can say whatever they want but everyone else has to shut up and listen.
They say that people can, for now, go to services but that people don't have the right to live their faith. Nuns have to help murder babies. Serving gays isn't enough; people have to participate in their "weddings". To Democrat politicians the 1st Amendment right to "exercise" our religion means if we don't mention religion in public we can still go to church on Sunday.
They say that we don't have any right to self defense. That while criminals who use guns shouldn't get too much extra punishment we don't have the right to own a gun to protect ourselves. Of course barbarians always disarmed their conquests to ensure that no matter how onerous their rule was the people couldn't revolt. Democrat politicians see how well that worked in Venezuela where the people are starving but can't revolt since only the government has guns.
They say that we have no right to not be randomly searched. They have no evidence that Trump has done anything wrong but they're demanding that they get access to all his private data. While at the same time they say that even though Joe Biden as been credibly charged with sexual assault he doesn't have to reveal public records he has that might be relevant.
Since their inception as a party the Democrats have done nothing but hurt America. They forced the bloodiest war in American history in a failed attempt to keep slavery legal.
They founded the KKK and the segregated society in the South.
They instituted a welfare system that destroys families and leads to increased crime while not eliminating poverty.
They push for high taxes and massive government regulations which keep Americans unemployed and poor.
They have created a ruling class. Government employees make far more money than American workers do and they have job security no matter what.
The New Deal was an utter failure; the US only recovered from the Depression due to WWII.
The Democrats invaded Cuba and started the war in Vietnam.
Democrats were less supportive of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than were Republicans.
Today thousands of Blacks are shot and hundreds of Blacks are murdered each year in Democrat run cities like Chicago and Democrats do nothing about it.
Today inner city schools are completely failing Black students but Democrats refuse to allow school choice.
It's time to realize that the biggest threat that is facing America today isn't the China virus, or resurgent Chinese imperialism, but Democrat politicians.
