Democrat politicians don't think that protecting you is their job; their job is getting more power over you

Even as Democrat mayors and governors across the country stand by and watch as looters and rioters run wild they're trying to blame Trump for their choices.

The simple reality is that the system worked in George Floyd's case.

A cop did something wrong and he's now facing murder charges.

This is not the first time a cop has done something horrible. There's absolutely no evidence Floyd was targeted because he was Black.  When a Black Lives Matter activist ambushed and killed five police officers there were no protests because the system worked and he paid the price.

Oddly when a Black Federal Agent was killed by rioters in Oakland the other day no one started protests about that even though the person responsible for his death hasn't even been caught much less charged.

Clearly some Black lives matter more than others and white lives don't matter at all.

The first responsibility of every Mayor and Governor is public safety.  But time after time and place after place Democrat Mayors and Governors force the police to stand by and watch small businesses be looted and destroyed and buildings being burned to the ground.

They clearly don't think that protecting citizens is their top priority.

Rather they want the Black vote so they allow Blacks to riot even when the tiny minority of Blacks who riot, and it's never more than a tiny minority because the vast majority of Blacks are law abiding people, are destroying Black neighborhoods.

They don't care about all the innocent Blacks who are victims of the riots or that businesses won't stay in Black neighborhoods, or if they do they'll charge more, after these riots which means that Blacks will have to travel long distances to get the necessities like food or pay a premium.

Those Democrat Mayor's and Governors seem to believe, and at least one has explicitly said, that Blacks should be allowed to riot, pillage, and burn as a way to express their frustration.

But in the recent rash of riots the violence has started with rich white Antifa members.  Pallets of bricks magically materialize and white men urge Black men to take the bricks and throw them at people and buildings.

White Antifa members use crowbars to take the wood off of store windows so they can loot the store.

Meanwhile Blacks are telling those white guys to stop it.  Sure some Blacks have been looting but they constitute only a small fraction of the Blacks who live in those areas.

If those leftist Democrat politicians thought that stopping rioting and looting would get them more power they'd do so.

This is just one more example of how all that matters to Democrat politicians is power.

There are two things we have learned from this crisis:

1) Democrat politicians won't protect you
2) You need to be able to protect yourself
