#FakeNews lies about Trump's comment on Poland and WWII

Clearly Trump was congratulating Poland on their heroic stand against both the Nazis and the Soviets when Poland was invaded and in the subsequent years of WWII.  Polish forces fought on the Western and Eastern fronts to bring down the Nazis.

Similarly Poland was the first country to break the Nazis Enigma code and they passed on what they'd learned to the British.  Without the aid of the Poles it's unclear if the British would have been as successful in breaking Nazi codes which could have meant that the war would have dragged on much longer than it did.

To assume that Trump was commending the Poles for being invaded is amazingly illogical.  But of course the #FakeNews media only supports elections its candidates win so it's not odd that they deliberately distort what Trump says.

Note that the question Trump was responding to was about the 80th anniversary of WWII not about the Nazi invasion of Poland. Hence anyone answering the question would be likely to speak about the war overall not just the invasion of Poland.

The worst crime that Trump could be guilty of is not knowing that WWII officially started with the invasion of Poland. But since the question wasn't about the 80th anniversary of the start of WWII even that would be a big stretch.  Given that Biden often doesn't know what state he's in it's a bit much to say that Trump not reading the mind of the reporter is a sign of some sort of problem.
