If they cannot agree to a ceasefire during these very important peace talks, and would even kill 12 innocent people, then they probably don’t have the power to negotiate a meaningful agreement anyway. Trump called the talks off.
When Obama was negotiating with Iran Iran planned a bombing attack in DC. The US thwarted the attack but Obama covered it up and continued to negotiate with Iran.
That's why you can't trust Democrats with foreign policy.
