Reason #137 why we don't want to be like Europe: Iranian tyrant edition

The Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif was greeted warmly by various European leaders.  When he was questioned by a reporter who the Iranian had imprisoned and tortured for the crime of being a reporter Ambassador Jan Eliasson treated the reporter rudely.

Leaders in France and Norway also welcomed the foreign minister for Iran with open arms.

Keep in mind that Iran has been behind major terrorists strikes around the world including Europe and that Iran just recently seized a British oil tanker.  It's Iran who is funding Hamas and deploying forces to Syria to attack Israel.  It's Iran who is developing nuclear weapons and long range missiles to deliver those weapons to Europe.

Yet just as they embraced Hitler right up until the invasion of Poland Europeans, more interested in short term profits, are embracing Iran.  While the US is working to ensure that Iran never gets nuclear weapons Europe, like Obama, are content with delaying the Iranian acquisition of weapons of mass destruction for a few years.

In the last century the US had to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of American lives and untold dollars to clean up the mess created by European countries in WWI and WWII.  Let's not repeat that disaster by acting like countries that have, through their unwillingness to stand against evil, caused two world wars.
