House Democrats want to ensure the Iran isn't punished for terrorist attacks

The House is setting up to pass a bill that will declare that after 30 days from when it's passed Trump won't be able to punish Iran for terrorist attacks conducted by Iran against Americans without Nancy Pelosi's approval.

The Democrats are introducing a similar bill in the Senate:

“This week, the House will introduce and vote on a War Powers Resolution to limit the President’s military actions regarding Iran,” Pelosi wrote in a letter to fellow Democrats, referring to a similar Senate resolution to be introduced by Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va. “It reasserts Congress’s long-established oversight responsibilities by mandating that if no further Congressional action is taken, the Administration’s military hostilities with regard to Iran cease within 30 days.”

So if an Iranian proxy militia kills a bunch of Americans in Israel or if Iran launches another attack on Saudi oil refineries 31 days from now Democrats are working to ensure that Trump can't retaliate against Iran without first getting the approval of the Nancy Pelosi.

The same Nancy Pelosi who was gung ho about sending Iran $150 billion.

What the Democrats are doing is deliberately undercutting Trump's statement that the US will punish Iran for attacks on Americans. She's thereby increasing the risk of terrorist attacks on Americans since Iran will quite likely feel that Trump will be constrained by Democrats from retaliating.

She's willing to kill Americans to increase the chances of a Democrat wining the 2020 election by convincing the American people that punishing people who kill Americans is wrong.

Oddly this is the same Nancy Pelosi who declared that Trump should have risked a war with Turkey, a NATO ally, in order to protect Kurds.

It's clear that all Pelosi and her fellow Democrats care about is political power.  They don't care that Iran has been made to pay a price for killing Americans they only care about winning in 2020.

Why should America fight a war with Turkey to protect a tiny fraction of the Kurd population but be unwilling to punish Iran for killing Americans?  That only makes sense when we realize that Pelosi doesn't care about the Kurds, when Obama pulled out of Iraq and abandoned them she didn't seem upset, or about Americans killed by Iran but only about using every situation in order to increase Democrat power no matter what the cost is to we the people.

Historically it would have been unthinkable for either party to join forces with a foreign country that was killing Americans in order to attack the President but that Rubicon has now been crossed.  The Democrats are saying that Iran will be able to get away with murdering Americans unless Nancy Pelosi is convinced that Trump's retaliation is reasonable.

Given that Pelosi clearly likes Iran, she was ok with Obama's plan to let Iran get nuclear weapons so long as it was far enough in the future, 15 years, that she and Obama wouldn't be blamed, we have no reason to believe that she won't prevent retaliation by demanding more and more proof or by declaring that we need to work with Iran as Obama did.

This is treason pure and simple. Putting the acquisition of political power ahead of what's good for America.
