That's a direct repudiation of the Constitution. The purpose of the Courts, as defined by the Constitution, is to apply laws, including the Constitution itself, to specific cases.
Hence when the President says that his advisers don't have to testify about certain conversations to Congress because of executive privilege and Congress says the President is wrong the Constitution says the Supreme Court will decide who is right.
But Schiff needs to reject the Constitution because he knows that Congress's claims that Trump exercising the same executive privilege that Obama exercised is completely legal. That's why instead of waiting for the courts to rule on Congress's claims the Democrats dropped their lawsuits and just impeached Trump. Schiff and Pelosi knew they'd lose in court and in doing so expose just how unethical they are.
So now in front of the Senate Schiff and Nadler have the audacity to declare that contrary to what the Constitution says the Courts have no role in resolving disputes as to the meaning of the law between Congress and the President.
Apparently according to Schiff the Congress, if it's run by Democrats, answers to no one and is the one all powerful branch of government. According to Pelosi, Nadler, and Schiff if the Senate doesn't bow to the will of the House then that's a crime.
This is just one more example of how Schiff, a man who lied to us about what was in the Ukraine phone call and about having evidence that Trump colluded with Russia, hates the Constitution and wants Democrats to rule over us rather than represent us.
