The key problem with the Democrats impeachment "case"

While there are many problems with the Democrats sham impeachment charges the biggest problem  is that it cites no crimes.

The Constitution says that the President can be impeached if he commits a crime:

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Yet neither of the acts of impeachment mention any crime. Bill Clinton wasn't impeached because he cheated on his wife but because he lied under oath, perjury which is a felony,  about sexually harassing subordinates in order to protect himself against losing a #MeToo lawsuit.

The first article of impeachment says that Trump asking Ukraine to investigate the corruption of Hunter Biden is grounds for overturning the 2016 election.  It's essentially making it a crime to investigate Democrat crimes.

This would be akin to Trump trying Mueller because Mueller investigated alleged collusion by Trump.

The second article is saying that if the President exercises his Constitutional authority and doesn't do what Congress wants Congress can get rid of him. Certainly not a crime.

This would be akin to Trump having DOJ try Pelosi for not passing the Bills that Trump wants her to pass.

The entire impeachment saga is nothing less than the public rejection of the Constitution by the Democrats who are saying that they have veto power over who we the people elect to be President.
