When Democrats aren't lying they're wrong about facts: Joe Biden edition

The left's problem with facts is a long standing one.

Back during the nuclear freeze movement in the 1980s a pro-freeze person said that the HP company in the Bay Area of California got $500 billion in defense contracts.

At the time the entire defense budget was $258 billion.

Of course Democrats get away with this sort of thing because the #FakeNews media will never point out their glaring errors.

That's why Joe Biden isn't be excoriated for saying

“150 million people have been killed since 2007 when [Sanders] voted to exempt the gun manufacturers from liability.”

Given that the US population is around 300 million that would mean that half of America has been killed off since 2007.  Even a seconds thought by an intelligent person would get them to realize that that number couldn't be right.

But it sounds good so Biden went with it.

In fact about 33,000 Americans die from gun inflicted injuries each year so that since 2007 about 429,000 Americans have died as a result of guns since 2007.

Which means that Joe was only off by a factor of 350.

Of the 429,000 about 2/3rds, 286,000, are suicides.  Clearly if people really want to kill themselves they're going to use another technique if they don't have a gun.

What's even more amazing is that Joe Biden made his charge in the context of advocating that gun manufacturers should be liable for the misuse of the guns they make and legally sell.

That's equivalent to saying that automakers should be liable for every drunk driver accident.

It's clearly an attempt to repeal the 2nd Amendment for common folk, rich people would still be able to buy guns made overseas.

Which is one more sign of just how much of a fascist Joe Biden is.

There is a Constitutionally defined way for the 2nd Amendment to be repealed.  But Joe knows that not enough Americans support that for him to be be able to legally remove our 2nd Amendment right to self defense.

Instead he's working to steal our rights via an undemocratic process.  Clearly he's comfortable with ruling as a tyrant.
