Trump is the new FDR:He's working hard to keep us from panicking

After  Pearl Harbor the US faced its greatest threat ever.  Two monstrous fascist regimes were threatening the world.

America's military was weak and things looked bleak.

The first thing FDR did was to declare that all Americans had to fear was fear itself.  That's because panic and fear only lead to greater suffering greater loss.  In order to win WWII Americans had to knuckle down and deal with the huge burden that they were facing.

It was the right thing to do.

That's precisely what Trump is doing today in the face of the coronavirus threat.

While the coronavirus will, at worst, be like a major flu epidemic Democrats are doing everything they can to panic Americans.

They're doing so purely for partisan political gain.

Were a meteorite to hit a small town in Kansas Democrats would blame Trump.

Trump's response to the virus to date has been reasonable and proportionate; he started limiting travel and revving up the government's response weeks before Democrats cared.  In fact the #FakeNews media was so unconcerned that CNN's main comment about the coronavirus task force that Trump formed was that it was too white.

Democrats didn't pull out their long knives until they saw that by scaring us they could wreck the economy and destroy our savings which in turn might lead us to vote for them.

Over at the CDC Rod Rosenstein's sister released a statement that indicated that the virus would inevitably cause massive disruption in America.  Given that during the flu outbreak of 1918 where millions of people died around the world the US kept on functioning, WWI didn't even pause, the idea that there would be massive disruption in the US was not a justified one which is why the CDC walked back the comment.

But that comment caused the stock market to drop.  Seeing that the Democrats immediately acted to increase the collapse of the market because a great economy is why many people will vote for Trump.

For a long time Democrat voices have been saying that it would be worth it to have a recession in order to get rid of Trump.  That is rich Democrats whose lifestyles wouldn't be impacted by a recession were hoping that average Americans would lose their jobs and their savings so that a Democrat could be President.

While it's unlikely that Democrats want Americans to die it's also clear that Democrat politicians would view Trump losing because of Americans dying as a good scenario.  That's harsh but we know that Democrats refuse to talk about all of the murders in Democrat run cities and that they have effectively legalized people with HIV not telling their sexual partners about their disease.

Essentially over and over we see that all that matters to Democrats is power over we the people.

That's why instead of following in FDR's footsteps they want us afraid and vulnerable.

Meanwhile Trump has worked hard to tamp down the irrational fear that the Democrats are pushing in order to get us ready to do what is best to reduce the impact of the coronavirus on America.

What you're seeing is the difference between Republicans who care about you and view their job as representing you and Democrat politicians who care about themselves and view their job as ruling over you.
