The real cost of "green" energy; how the left wants to bankrupt the middle class

A research paper entitled "Doubling Down on Failure" exposes the real costs of "green" energy and the impact that plans Democrats have to impose it on we the people on all but the very rich.

Looking at Minnesota mandating that 50% of energy be "green" would result in the following:

1) It would cost $80 billion
2) It would cause 21,000 people to lose their jobs
3) It would cause energy rates to increase by 40%
4) It would seriously hurt energy intensive industries like agriculture, mining, and manufacturing
5) It would have absolutely no impact on global warming even if the warmists are right

Also because it's not always windy and it's often cloudy there has to be a fossil fuel, nuclear, or hydroelectric backup power supply.  Or since Democrats reject that we the people have to get used to not having electricity for days on end.

Yet Democrats are pushing for 100% renewable energy.

Given that the poor pay a much higher fraction of their money for energy than the rich this scheme is an amazingly regressive tax on the poor.  Clearly Democrats care more about their irrational and unscientific concerns about climate change than they do about the poor.  As is usually the case this Democrat policy is all about making rich white elitists feel good rather than being about improving the lives of we the people.

Remember it's easy to see why the climate change claim is a Big Lie; warmists support the Paris Accords which allow India and China to massively increase their CO2 emissions which proves that warmists don't think we're really facing a major much less existential crisis.
