In an act designed to spread fear and cater to some of the most divisive forces in our nation, the U.S. government came into our workplaces to arrest people whose only crime is working hard for a better life. #ICERaids #1u https://t.co/9esui8Y2Hm— Richard Trumka (@RichardTrumka) August 8, 2019
We condemn these raids in the strongest possible terms and pledge our full support to @UFCW and the working people of Mississippi as they work to win justice for all those who were unfairly targeted.— Richard Trumka (@RichardTrumka) August 8, 2019
Clearly American workers don't benefit from having their jobs stolen by illegals who either work under the table or for lower wages because they know their bosses can have them deported.
Driving down wages by using illegals can't help the hard working Americans whether they're in a union or not. Clearly things in America are horribly wrong when the head of AFL-CIO is helping companies drive down costs by exploiting workers.
Can you imagine how the union leaders who fought for workers rights back in the last century, men who risked their lives to reduce income inequality, would react to Trumka's enthusiasm for boosting company profits by replacing American workers with illegals?
It's clear that the AFL-CIO is being run by a mole for the 1% since he clearly is more concerned about company profits than jobs and a fair wage for American workers.
