Facebook knows the truth but can it understand it?

To Facebooks credit in response to numerous complaints about their bias hired a law firm to investigate the matter.

Of course there was no need for this since there are so many examples of FB targeting conservatives while leaving radical leftists untouched that an unbiased person would see the problem instantly.

The problem is that FB is run by leftists who, in general, have absolutely no idea of what reality is.  Their lack of historical knowledge and their belief that "hate" speech should be banned makes it impossible for even an honest leftist to see the problem.

To the left moderate conservatives like National Review are literally on par with Nazis and white supremacists.  They really believe that; in part because they get their news from the completely dishonest #FakeNews media.

ArchBishop Fulten Sheen once said that there aren't 100 people in America who hate the Catholic Church for what it is but many who hate the Church for what they think it is.

Yes many leftists know better but the reality is that the folks working at places like FB are great computer programers but not historically literate and they depend on what the #FakeNews media spews forth to determine their opinion on policy issues.  Hence they actually think that conservatives are racist homophobic monsters.

Further because many of them are from different countries without a tradition of free speech and the Americans have been brainwashed by academia they don't really get the idea that for every bit of speech there is some group that thinks it's "hate" speech and hence any attempt to ban "hate" speech will either be biased or end up banning all speech.

Historically America has dealt with this by allowing all non-criminal speech. Someone can say that Jews or Catholics are evil but they can't say that we should murder Jews or Catholics.  That means there is some pretty noxious speech out there but it also means that people who hold non-conforming positions--like Democrat politicians who aren't antisemitic-- can still speak and try and win people over to their position.

But now Democrats and leftists want to ban any speech that doesn't agree with what they believe.  We need to take a stand and tell them no that if we have to listen to Obama they have to listen to Trump, if we have to listen to Al Sharpton they have to listen to Michael Savage.
