China's new tariffs aren't retaliatory

When Trump took office Chinese tariffs on American goods entering China were three times as high, on average, as US tariffs on Chinese goods entering America.

The new Chinese tariffs aren't retaliating for Trump's tariffs they are just an escalation by the Chinese of their economic war on America.

In addition to asymmetrical tariffs China has used a number of other weapons in it's war on America including:

1) Massive theft of intellectual property
2) Currency manipulation
3) Requiring companies that do business in China to hand over intellectual property

By labeling China's latest salvo against America as retaliatory the media is promoting the Big Lie that  it's Trump who started the current trade war between China and the US.  The reality is that China has been doing its best to steal jobs and money from America for a very long time.

Trump is just the first US President who cared enough about America to fight back.
