Here's Acosta's tweet:
Trump in Rose Garden speech paints asylum seekers with broad brush accusing them of misleading immigration authorities at border: “These are frivolous claims.”— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) May 16, 2019
Here's the White House's response which clearly shows that Trump is in fact committed to helping those who are truly fleeing murder and starvation while pointing out the clear and obvious fact that many people who are apply for asylum are just looking for a better life; they're not fleeing death.
Note that Trump is actually addressing a real problem which keeps people who deserve asylum from getting it so by pretending that that problem doesn't exist it's Acosta whose making it hard for people fleeing persecution to get into the US."We must also restore the integrity of our broken asylum system. Our Nation has a proud history of affording protection to those fleeing government persecutions. Unfortunately, legitimate asylum seekers are being displaced by those lodging frivolous claims." pic.twitter.com/7VVuqHhhRc— The White House (@WhiteHouse) May 16, 2019
While it's possible that Acosta is so biased that he honestly thought that what the President said meant what he, Acosta, tweeted it sadly seems more likely that Acosta views his job as brining down Trump not reporting what actually happened.
