The IG report says that the FBI lied to the FISA court

While the #FakeNews media is hawking the story that since the IG report says that multiple massive failures by the FBI that all contributed to an unprecedented weaponization of the Intelligence Community's incredibly invasive spying power against Americans wasn't politically motivated it was ok.

But the fact is that anytime the FBI deliberately withholds evidence that would show that a defendant is innocent it's a huge crime.

If the FBI withheld evidence that showed that some poor Black man wasn't in fact guilty of dealing drugs in order to spy on him the #FakeNews media, the Democrats, and all Republicans would be up in arms about it. America isn't a country where corrupt cops can railroad innocent victims they don't like.

But when the FBI withheld evidence from the FISA court which would have shown that there was no basis for a warrant, which the IG says the FBI did, the #FakeNews media and the Democrats say that's fine.

The whole purpose of the FISA court is to balance American's Fourth Amendment rights against random searches with keeping Americans safe from terrorist attacks.  As such we the people count on the court to only allow the full spying power of the IC to be turned against Americans when there is very strong evidence that those Americans are somehow linked to espionage or terrorism.

But to do that the FISA court has to have the truth which is why the FBI is supposed to verify, and declare to the FISA court that they have in fact verified, all the evidence that they present.

We now know, from the IG report, that not only hadn't the FBI verified the Hillary paid for Russian sourced Steele dossier but that as time went on and the FBI learned that the dossier was a lie, when interviewed Steele's primary source declared that what was in the dossier wasn't true, they withheld that information from the FISA court when the FBI went back to have the warrant renewed.

The FBI also lied to the FISA court by saying that a news article that was based on the dossier was in fact an independent confirmation of the dossier.

Clearly based on facts in the IG report, as well as things like emails and texts by senior FBI officials expressing love for Hillary and hatred for Trump, the FBI engaged in a deliberate and purely politically motivated attack on a Presidential candidate, and President, that they didn't approve of.

We are witnessing FBI corruption in the service of the Democrat party far worse than anything that J. Edger Hoover ever did.

Essentially Obama turned the FBI into a secret police that he used to attack his political opponents.

If that sounds outlandish remember that we know for a fact that the IRS deliberately targeted political organizations that opposed Obama and that even though we know that no one in the IRS was prosecuted.

Like the IG's report on the FBI we were told that deliberately targeting Obama's enemies was just an accident and didn't represent any sort of bias.
