The left wants the US to be more like Europe; why that's stupid

Even as the EU is sanctioning Iran for trying to assassinate people in the EU the EU is working hard to circumvent US sanctions against Iran.

Fortunately President Trump has a bigger club.  He's told EU companies that if they violate US sanctions on Iran they won't be able to do business in the US.  No sane major corporation will pick the minuscule Iranian market over the insanely huge US market.

But the fact that the EU rulers are trying to mitigate US sanctions in order to make money shows why no one should want to be like the Europeans.

We got WWI because of European greed and lust for power. The rulers all thought it would be a fast war and they'd come out ahead.  But instead of saying hey this has turned into a monster blood bath so lets call the whole thing off the European rulers slaughtered an entire generation of Europeans.

We got WWII because the allies, other than the US, wanted to bleed Germany dry after WWI.  That led to hatred and the rise of the Nazis.  The US on the other hand after WWII helped rebuild Germany and Japan which gave us the power to neutralize their militaristic tendencies and turn them into allies.

Now we're seeing Europeans appeasing radical Islam which incentivizes terrorism.

Yet the leftist bi-coastal elites who hate America constantly want us to be more like Europe. Which given history is really stupid.
