Christopher Steele; agent of a Russian Oligarch

Christopher Steele, the Trump hating author of the infamous unverified dossier funded by Hillary and used to justify a witch hunt by the FBI against Trump, turns out to have been an agent for the very same Russian oligarch whom the New York Times momentarily accused Trump of colluding with.

In another of the long series of "startling" stories about Trump that it turns out were wrong the NYT declared that a Trump associate had shared internal Trump polling data with Oleg V. Deripaska.  The next day the NYT had to correct the article; it turns out that the data was shared with two Ukrainians not with Deripaska.

What's interesting is the fact that we have emails and other documentation that links Steele to Deripaska seem to be of no interest to the NYT or the rest of the #FakeNews media.  Apparently they don't think that the fact that Steele was constantly pushing information that helped Deripaska could reduce Steele's credibility or impact his actions.

Remember that the FBI did failed to verify anything in the Steele dossier.  Even Steele has declared to an English court that the dossier contains raw/unverified intelligence. Yet it was used to turn the full power of the US intelligence community against the Trump campaign.  Data acquired by the IC was read by Democrats during the campaign; essentially Obama weaponized the FBI, NSA, and CIA to spy on the Republican Presidential campaign.  Something that Nixon only dreamed about.

The bottom line is that a to the left truth is irrelevant only power matters. Anything that increases the power of Democrats is good and anything that reduces the power of Democrats is bad.  Hence Hillary paying Russians for dirt on Trump is good while Trump Jr. meeting with a Russian about dirt on Hillary is bad even though, unlike the Hillary case, there was no dirt and no money was paid.

Similarly in the case of Steele the truth is irrelevant to Democrats. Can you imagine if an ex Mossad spy who hated Obama and who had shilled for Muslim extremists had produced a dossier that showed that Obama was in league with ISIS based solely on unverified anonymous sources and the Bush administration had used that to turn the IC on Obama's 2008 campaign?  The howls, quite justified, of the #FakeNews media would have been unending.

Steele is just another leftist who will say and do anything to increase the power of the Democrat party.
