For quite some time the left has been saying that it is criminal that Trump Jr. met with Natalia for the purpose of finding out dirt she had on Hillary. As it turns out Natalia had lied and had no dirt on Hillary and really wanted to talk about easing sanctions on important Russians.
Since that didn't interest Trump Jr. he left the meeting.
This is interesting on several levels. First if Trump had been colluding with the Russians there would have been no need to lie to Trump Jr about what Natalia wanted to talk about. Second if Trump had been looking to collude with Russia then Trump Jr wouldn't have left the meeting.
But most importantly what the left is upset about Trump Jr doing is a lesser version of what we know for a fact Hillary did. Hillary paid Fusion GPS to buy dirt on Trump from Russians. So the left is upset about Trump Jr merely talking to a Russian who said they had dirt on Hillary but is completely unconcerned that Hillary paid Russians money for unverified dirt on Trump which she then used to try and subvert the 2016 election.
Even more interestingly is that the head of the company Hillary hired to dig up Russian dirt met with Natalia before and after her meeting with Trump Jr. And of course it turns out that while Fusion was digging up, or more correctly manufacturing, dirt on Trump they were taking money from Russian interests to do work that would help reduce sanctions against Russia.
But of course the #FakeNews media doesn't care if Hillary colluded with Russia or if the company she hired to be the middleman was working to reduce the sanctions against Russia. All the liars in the press care about is spinning the story that a Trump Jr. refusing to discuss reducing sanctions against Russians to say that that shows that Trump was colluding with Russia.
