Given that all the NRA does is support our Second Amendment rights to own guns it's clear that not only does Cuomo hate the First Amendment, because he wants to squash non-criminal speech, but he hates the Second Amendment too.
But this is just one of many cases where Democrat politicians have rejected the Constitution.
Almost all of the modern judicial activism is based on rejecting the clear wording of the Constitution and replacing what the Constitution says with what leftists judges and Democrat politicians want the Constitution to say.
For example:
There is no "right to privacy" in the Constitution but there is a right to life. Hence the legalizing of abortion for any reason at any point in the pregnancy by the Supreme Court is not based on the Constitution.
The Constitution explicitly says that the President is responsible for foreign affairs but Federal Courts keep ruling that they can tell the President what he can and can't do.
There is no right to redefine marriage in the Constitution and the people who ratified the Constitution condemned active homosexuality so there is no way that the intent of the Constitution is to require the redefinition of marriage.
The phrase "wall of separation between church and state" is nowhere in the Constitution. In fact when the Constitution was ratified several states had state sponsored religions which no one found to be in conflict with the Constitution. Hence the war on religion waged by the Democrats and supported by leftist judges is not based on the Constitution and in fact goes directly against the clear wording of the First Amendment.
Democrat politicians are perfectly comfortable with rejecting the First Amendment where it pertains to political speech they don't like and to people's right to actually live their faiths.
Without rejecting the Constitution as it is actually written the entire Democrat agenda for America would be impossible.
Democrat politicians also reject the rule of law; they want a nation of men where the importance of the person determines which laws apply to them not a nation of laws where all men are subject to the same rules.
For example:
Obama said he didn't have the authority to implement DACA on his own and then he did so anyway.
Obama refused to enforce laws that he didn't like; such as the Defense of Marriage Act.
Democrat politicians in California refused to defend Prop 8 which was passed by a large majority of Californians.
Democrats told Trump to stop enforcing immigration laws that they didn't like but they refused to work with Trump to change the laws via the Democratic process.
Democrats are perfectly comfortable with ignoring immigration laws.
It's becoming clearer and clearer that the Democrat leadership, as opposed to Democrat voters, are fascists who don't object to using violence and the full power of the government to silence those who disagree with them. They are completely comfortable with 5 unelected judges making law up out of thin air so long as the laws favor the Democrats.
Modern Democrat politicians are just as much of a threat to freedom in America as Hitler and his Brown Shirts, modern day name antifa, were in Germany. Which isn't surprising in that Hitler was a socialist who believe in the government controlling the economy just like the latest bunch of Democrat politicians.
While it's true that Democrat politicians don't support genocide against Jews they have no problem supporting what Jesse Jackson called genocide against Blacks; abortion.
No longer do Democrat politicians say that abortion should be safe and rare now they're saying that it's a good thing even in cases where the mother kills her unborn daughter because she wants a son.
Modern Democrat politicians reject democracy and embrace totalitarianism where there is no aspect of our lives, from how much soda we drink to whether or not we can use straws, that they can control.
We need to stop them now otherwise our children won't live in a free America.
