The warped mind of Jim Acosta

Jim Acosta, a CNN "reporter", is the epitome of the modern #FakeNews media; he's self absorbed, he's amazingly biased, and he's uninformed.

President Trump tweeted that the Democrats had become an anti-Israel and anti-Jewish party.

In response Jim Acosta said:

“Democrats don’t hate Jewish people, that’s just silly,” “It’s not true.”

The first thing to note is that Acosta is oblivious to the fact that he's expressing a personal opinion not  a fact.  His comment occurred during a White House press conference where the supposed objective is to find out the President's position on various issues.

Instead Acosta editorializes about what he, a person with no real world competence in the history or study of antisemitism, personally believes.

He's in lock step with the rest of the #FakeNews folk who believe that their training as reporters renders them uniquely capable to pass judgement on things they know little or nothing about.

And don't doubt for a moment that #FakeNews reporters are ill informed.  It's obvious from the things they often say and their instant support for anything which advances the left no matter how obviously wrong it is--witness the coverage of the Covington boys and the Jussie Smollett case.

I once gave a graduate school journalism student a ride, along with several other fellow graduate students.  We were talking and it turned out he didn't know who fought WWII.  We were chatting in the late 1970s when WWII was the biggest news event of the century and this graduate level student in reporting didn't know anything about it.  Hence he was completely incapable of truly understanding what was going on the world because so much of it was shaped by WWII--from the rejection of antisemitism due to the Holocaust to America's aversion to the expansion of tyrannical communism.

While "reporters" like Acosta act as though they're experts in the subject they're discussing they rarely have any more knowledge than a High School student who wrote a report based on news magazines would have.

But that doesn't stop them from pontificating.

In this case the vile antisemitic statements of Democrat Ilhan Omar were well documented.  Several Democrats condemned her statements. But when it came to punishing Omar the Democrats did less than nothing.  First she wasn't kicked off any committee assignments and second when the Democrats passed a resolution to condemn her they omitted her name an made the condemnation about all sorts of hate that Democrats don't like one of which happened to be antisemitism.

So despite the fact that some individual Democrats demonstrated that they don't hate Jews the party as a whole basically decided that declaring that Jew's hypnotize the world and that any American who supports Israel is a traitor aren't things they really object to.

Further we know that if Omar was a Republican he'd be singing a very different tune.

Republican Steve King was quoted out of context to make it appear as though he supported white nationalists.  The Republicans immediately condemned what King didn't actually say and removed his committee appointments.  The whole #FakeNews media went along and condemned King; the same folks who are arguing for excusing Omar's actions.

The bottom line is that while the #FakeNews media are staffed by biased and uniformed people like Acosta they will be the enemy of the people.

The press is the friend of we the people if and only if they provide us with the truth so that we can decide what we want our government to do.  When the "press" provides only lies, spin, and Democrat propaganda they're channelling their inner Goebbels and working to make sure that democracy dies in darkness.
