Originally that may have made some sense since decades ago Republicans were viewed as the party of big business but today Trump is working hard to improve the economy, bring jobs back to America, and reduce unemployment.
Even though he's been succeeding at all of those things Union leaders still attack him.
That's because the generally rich generally not hard working Union leaders, as opposed to the actual union members, side with the elitist left establishment. That's why those leaders attack Trump who is helping union members but not the pro-immigration and the pro-trade that hurts America establishments that is hurting union members.
In a sense it's not surprising the official salary of the head of the AFL-CIO for example is over $300K a year; not a salary many AFL-CIO workers will ever see. The rich elites are all for bringing in foreign workers who will drive down the wage scales so that American workers have to settle for less.
Hopefully union members will realize that it's the Republican's today who are the most opposed to exporting American jobs and bringing in cheap foreign labor so as to increase the wealth of the 1%.
