The Left succeeds in driving conservatives into hiding

In Australia the polls said that the leftist Labor party would easily win.

The Labor party lost big time.

The reality is that the social elites in Australia, like their counterparts in America, have made admitting to "evil" ideas so damaging that people lie to pollsters.

In a sense the conservative win isn't surprising in that the Labor party's big push was about climate change; which translates into higher taxes, less freedom, more rules, and no impact on global temperatures.

But the important take away is that we can't believe polls because people are afraid of the bullying that they know they will be subjected to if they express opinions that our de facto ruling class doesn't like.

The SAT Adversity Score; a defense

The College Board has announced that it will compute an adversity score for students that take the SAT which is designed to show their relative socio-economic status.

If done right then this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Affirmative action is intrinsically evil because it is based solely on race; a Black person raised in wealth--like Obama--is given an advantage over a white person raised in poverty--say a recent Ukrainian immigrant living in Appalachia-- simply based on their race.

But most people would agree that someone who got say a 1400 on the SAT after attending the disastrously poor Chicago inner city schools is probably more intelligent/competent than someone who got a 1400 after attending a suburban or private school.

Hence if the adversity score really models that difference it might form the basis for more accurately assessing the real capabilities of students rather than simply giving bonus points for the color of the students skin.

While this is denounced as heresy by many conservatives if the objective is to correctly assess the capabilities of students so as to direct them to the right form of education or work after high school then assessing a student's environment makes sense.

Clearly a student who had SAT tutors is going to score higher than an identically intelligent student whose parents either didn't care or couldn't afford them.  Given the current outrage over rich parents buying their kid's way into elite schools it's unclear how we aren't concerned about rich parents effectively buying their kids in by providing them with a better education.

Note no one is advocating allowing dumb kids who are poor an advantage over smart kids who are rich; the intent is to ensure that smart kids who have been denied a decent education due to the incompetent schools in Democrat run cities aren't pigeonholed as being dumb.

In any case assuming the metric is race neutral, ie a poor white has the same adversity score as a poor Black, then it would be a vast improvement over the current institutionalized racism of the various affirmative action programs that plague our nation.

Study shows that leftists professors discriminate against conservative students

A new study finds that controlling for all other factors conservative students get lower grades than leftist students.

It's possible to predict grades, in a general way, based on standardized tests, high school grades, and various other factors.  The researchers compared those predictions with real grades and found that two identical students would get significantly different grades based on their political ideology.

Notwithstanding the GPA advantages held by conservative students in high school, students who support banning racist/sexist speech, and who endorse dissent as critical to the political process (positions typically associated with liberalism) enjoy a relative advantage over their peers. . . The ideology variable is positive, meaning that by the fourth year of college, liberal students tend to have higher grades than conservative peers: ideological self-placement is the only variable in the model changing direction from high school to college. Additionally, students whose fathers align with the Democratic Party tend to have higher fourth year college grades. [Emphasis in original.][H]olding all else constant, the most liberal student would enjoy a 0.16 point advantage over the most conservative student on a 7 point scale. Given our large sample size [of more than 7,000 students], this difference is statistically significant.

While paper lists a number of alternatives to leftist professors deliberately discriminating against students they don't agree with they all boil down to the same result; discrimination.

After all it doesn't really matter to a student if her grades are lower because her professor hates her or because he believes that her ideology is stupid and hence advocating it should get a lower grade; the end result is the same.

This discrimination is to be expected since the modern left views everything through lens of how it helps them achieve more power over we the people.

Democrats stand four square for Iran

The NYT has reported that Trump isn't interested in a war with Iran.  Yet we're constantly hearing from the media that John Bolton is keen on one and is trying to convince Trump.

Why are we hearing this?

According to Matthew Continetti it's because the Democrats are trying to salvage Obama's appeasement of the insanely radical Iranian tyrants.

It turns out the whole "Bolton is going to lead Trump to war" meme was started by the Iranians.

By framing the discussion as though there were only two alternatives, war or letting the Iranians get nuclear weapons while funding international terrorism, Democrats and the #FakeNews media are trying to ensure that Iran gets both nuclear weapons and a free hand to wage terrorism against civilization.

Sane people want to know why would Democrats do that?

The answer is simple Democrat politicians care about one thing and one thing only power over we the people. Anything that reduces Obama's legacy adversely impacts Democrats chance of getting elected and has to be fought.

Further if you listen to Democrats they are constantly saying that right wing men are the real terror threat in the US as though 9/11, San Bernardino, and the Boston bombing never happened.

Democrats leadership aren't worried about terrorism because they're safe and they have demonstrated their willingness for other people to die in order to advance their agenda--witness their support for infanticide.

Of course the fact that so many Democrats are anti-semites who hate Israel probably contributes to the love affair they're having with the tyrants in Iran.

It's very interesting how the same Democrats who demand that every Christian baker make a cake for a gay wedding and who condemn the religious right in America for trying to impose their morality on America have no problem with the theocratic regime in Iran which throws gays off the tops of buildings.

The explanation is simple; because Democrats only care about power they don't care if Iranian gays are killed unless they can use that fact to get more power.

Buttigieg leads Democrats war on America

Thomas Jefferson was one of the key people who defined both the Constitution and what America would be, a country run by the people not by the elites, but he wasn't perfect; he owned slaves.

Of course back then lots of people owned slaves, like George Washington.

Buttigieg has said that we should remove Jefferson's name from events because Jefferson wasn't perfect by today's standards.  He's following where the left is going; condemning everyone who stood for freedom, since the left wants tyranny, for whatever reason they can find.

Apparently the fact that the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. wasn't faithful to his wife isn't a problem to the left.  It's unclear if that's because the left supports adultery--if you doubt that see how they reacted to Bill Clinton lying under oath to avoid losing a #MeToo lawsuit--or because King has been morphed into a supporter of institutionalized racism against whites that benefits the left.

None of the leftists who support this new wave of intolerance could survive a similar investigation; they, like all of us, have flaws.  For example pretty much every leftists supports abortion and to most people mass murder is worse than owning slaves was centuries ago.

The real reason that people like Buttigieg are attacking the Founders isn't that they care about Blacks, if they did they'd be screaming about the thousands of Blacks shot each year in Democrat run cities like Chicago, but because they want to restructure America so that they rule we the people rather than represent us.

Buttigieg and his Democrat opponents are why the Founders wrote the Constitution. Every Democrat candidate is calling for an imperial government which can control every aspect or our lives from how much soda we drink to what health care we get.

In Democrat dreams Americans are unable to defend themselves and subject to the whims of their betters, ie Democrat politicians.

The majority of those who vote Democrat aren't aware of this because the #FakeNews media lie incessantly to conceal the truth about what Democrat politicians want.

If you doubt this ask yourself what sort of mind set is required by Democrats like De Blasio to allow them to think that they have the right, and the obligation, to tell we the people how much soda we can drink?

Why sane conservatives like Trump

From a conservative perspective Trump has plenty of problems ranging from his support for the gay lifestyle to his own personally morally fraught life but conservatives like him because he fights for us.

Unlike so many Republicans who campaign on conservative values and then fails to deliver anything once they're elected Trump fights for conservative causes.

Further when the #FakeNews media lies about conservatives Trump calls the media out.

Everyone wants a leader who stands up for them not one whose actions effectively say that yes the folks who voted for me are evil but what can you do?

That was Bush.  The media lied and lied and lied and he didn't defend us.

Trump is far from perfect but he's better than the Republicans who yell "No mas" in the first round before the first punch is thrown.

Will the #FakeNews media support war with Iran because Trump opposes it?

The news is out; Trump scolded some of his aids about wanting a war with Iran.

This puts the #FakeNews media into a conundrum.  Their sole purpose in life is to oppose Trump and elect Democrat candidates.

They're on record as condemning all the military involvements in the Middle East, except for Obama's totally unnecessary destabilization of Libya, and they've been attacking Trump for the US governments approach to Iran. They've even been talking about how the Iranian situation is escalating.

So now they can either commend Trump for not supporting a war or they can find some way to attack him for opposing a war.  There's actually a third option simply not report on his objection to a war.  That option is probably gone since the NYT has already mentioned it.

Odds are they'll find some way to attack him. Perhaps they'll condemn him for having chosen aids who don't agree with him though that wouldn't make much sense since he's got the final call.

Time will tell.
