Facebook saying gays can't want to be straight

Facebook is in the process of implementing a plan to ban discussion of converse therapy which is a way to help people suffering from same sex attraction heal themselves.

The first thing to note is that whether you use the Bible or science a person who is sexually attracted to people of the same sex has a problem.

Scripture clearly condemns active homosexuality--but not individuals who suffer from same sex attraction-- despite what some gays claim:

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.

In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Romans 1:26-27

Science says that to the extent that we have a purpose it's only to send our genes to the future. But clearly that's something that gays can't do and hence it must mean that they aren't in fact functioning properly.

Hence it's clear that whatever your perspective is gays have a problem that should be addressed.

But even if one doesn't agree with that it's pretty tyrannical to tell gays who want to be fixed that they can't even try.

Yet that's what people on the left and Facebook are doing.  They're saying that if someone believes that their disordered situation is in fact disordered and want to fix it they're not allowed to do so.

Talk about fascism and a hatred of diversity.

If conversion therapy were being forced on gays there might be a reason to condemn it but when it's purely voluntary there is no reason to censor it.

The reason the left is so against conversion therapy is because it works. A large fraction of gays who want to be cured are cured.

But that of course goes against the left's claim that being gay is genetic.

We know that claim is false if evolution is true since evolution says that mutations that increase the number of offspring a creature has are preserved and mutations that decrease the number of offspring a creature has are eliminated.

Other than mutations that kill people when they're kids its hard to imagine any mutation that would be less likely to survive than one that causes people to be gay.

Of course studies of identical twins separated at birth show that gayness isn't genetic. If it were then the probability of both of the twins being gay would be much higher if one of them were gay yet that's not the case.

This is one more example of how the left is willing to make people, in this case gays who don't like their problem, miserable in order to not allow anything that would undermine leftist orthodoxy.

Brian Williams get's it huugely wrong: No the GDP didn't go down by 32%

On MSNBC's 11th Hour nightly news show Brian Williams said:

“The GDP from April through June dropped a staggering 32.9 percent. Put another way, that’s a loss of fully one-third of our output of goods and services as a country.”

The truth is that the GDP declined by 9.5% in the second quarter but the government reports an annualized rate.  Hence if Williams had said the GDP declined by 10%, not 32% he'd have been right.

Why would Williams get it so wrong?

Well one reason is that reporters in American generally aren't all that well informed.  Especially people in the #FakeNews media who tend to only read what their fellow believers write.

Another is that Democrats are desperate to make things seem worse than they are and to blame Trump for everything.

The same people who said every minor uptick under Obama was insanely great, who said that double digit Black unemployment was not a problem with Obama was in charge ignored the economic boom that Trump's policies created.

Even worse now they're simultaneously condemning Trump for not shutting the country down more and for the economic impacts of shutting the country down as much as it is shut down.

It's an amazing assault on reason for Democrats to condemn Trump because he won't make everyone hide in their houses indefinitely while also condemning him because the economy is being adversely impacted by so many of us being imprisoned in our houses.

The reality is if Democrats had their way the GDP would be down by much more.

Further it's dishonest to complain about the economic impacts of shelter in place while refusing to accept economic costs as part of the calculus used to decide to what extent we should shelter in place.

It's not like the necessities of life just drop out of the sky like manna.  If people don't work then people will become poor.

People who are poor and/or stressed about their lack of work are more likely to do drugs and/or take their own lives.

Yet Democrats declare that those costs, those lives lost, can't be taken into account when deciding how to address the China virus.

The reality is that for people under 40 COVID19 is no worse than the flu. The reality is tens of thousands of people die from the flu every year just as tens of thousands of people die in car accidents.  Life has risks and we don't shut down life because of them.

The science is clear. We need to protect those over 70--which means we don't send people sick with COVID19 into nursing homes like Cuomo did in New York-- and to a lesser extent those over 40 or 50 but there is no reason to keep people under 40 under house arrest.

Democrats want to do that because they think they can blame Trump.

Democrat politicians, the #FakeNews media, and leftists don't care how many of us die due to unnecessary shelter in place rules or how much of our savings we have to eat through to survive. They only care about power.  So long as they think that making us miserable will cause us to vote for Joe Biden they believe that our suffering is a price they're willing to pay for getting more power.

The "Resistance" shows that Democrats are fascists.

Depending on your age you probably think of different things when you hear the term "resistance":

• The French resistance fighting Nazi occupation
• The people in the Soviet Union who fought against tyranny
• The Germans who tried to kill Hitler

In every case though resistance was about fighting a tyranny not a democratically elected government.

Like him or hate him Trump was elected according to the laws of the United States just like Obama was.

Conservatives hated Obama's policies as much as Democrat's hate Trump's but we followed the law and we didn't "resist".

Democrats in the Senate fought every nomination for a post in the administration, unlike Republicans when Obama picked his people, just to prevent we the people's chosen President from doing his job.

Since then Democrats have embraced every sort of lie against Trump.

Similarly activist judges have overstepped their authority time and again to declare that pretty much everything Trump does that they don't like is illegal. They've gone so far as to say that if Trump issues an order it's unconstitutional but if Hillary had issued the exact same order it would be Constitutional.

They've declared that what Obama wrote with his pen can't be erased with Trump's pen.  Thereby making Obama a super president whose rulings can't be undone by elections.

All of this shows that the Democrats are fascists who only respect elections if they win.

Republicans follow the law; Democrats are for judges making up laws to enforce what Democrats want.

AOC says that a saint is a monster: St. Damien edition

While conducting a virtual tour of statues in DC AOC said the following about St. Damien:

So AOC is saying that a man who spent his life with lepers, when there was no cure for the disease, and who eventually died from leprosy is a "white supramcist" colonizer.

Talk about evil.

Hawaiians honor St. Damien but AOC condemns him.

Here's what the King of Hawaii wrote to St. Damien:

Reverend Sir,

What's AOC done to help lepers? Nothing. Yet she feels free to condemn a man who died for Hawaiians because he's white.

Clearly there's a lot of racism in America but it's not just Democrats like AOC ignoring the mass shootings of Blacks in Democrat run cities it's hatred of white people by Democrats too.

Democrat Diane Feinstein says China is a great place; clearly she's not a Muslim

Diane Feinstein defends China. Not too surprising given that her husband has made a fortune from China and that she had a Chinese spy on her staff for decades.  But of course she says her husbands business dealings have no impact on her and she was completely unaware that her personal driver was a spy.

She recently said:

“We hold China as a potential trading partner, as a country that has pulled tens of millions of people out of poverty in a short period of time, and as a country growing into a respectable nation amongst other nations, I deeply believe that.”

Given that China is has put over 1,000,000 Muslims into concentration camps, has invaded India, and is claiming the entire South China Sea clearly Feinstein has a different view of what "respectable" than most Americans.

The context of these comments was Feinstein's objection to allowing Americans to sue the Chinese government for covering up and lying about the China virus thereby creating the current pandemic.

Oddly Feinstein and other Democrats are eager to blame Trump for the disease that occurred due to the deliberate coverups perpetrated by the Chinese tyrants.

But then Democrats tend to identify with China.

Obama said he wished he could rule like Xi does as an absolute ruler.

Democrat politicians in general view themselves as our betters who should be allowed to run every aspect of our lives; just like the Chinese Communists do.

Trump's putting us ahead of Europeans: Democrats furious

Germany is a wealthy nation with a GDP of nearly $4 trillion.

Yet it refuses to put aside 2% of that to fund its own self defense.

Further it is trying hard to give Putin billions of dollars by making Germany dependent on Russian natural gas--which is really strange since everyone tells me Germany is getting rid of fossil fuels.

Clearly Germany doesn't care about defending itself so Donald Trump has decided to reduce the number of American soldiers in Germany by about 1/3.

Germany pays Russia billions of dollars a year for Energy, and we are supposed to protect Germany from Russia. What’s that all about? Also, Germany is very delinquent in their 2% fee to NATO. We are therefore moving some troops out of Germany!

Germans are furious that the Trump dare require Germany to defend itself.

But they take hope in the fact that Democrats in Congress are also appalled that Trump should think that Germany should pay to defend Germany.

Germans are also very hopeful that Biden wins so that America will keep paying for the defense of Germany so that Germany doesn't have to.

A 2019 investigation by the German parliament showed that Germany was spending so little on its own defense that less than 50% of the Bundeswehr's tanks, ships and aircraft were combat ready at any given time.

Meanwhile the US accounts for 70% of NATO defense spending.  Given that the GDP of the European Union is $18.8 trillion and the US GDP is $21.4 trillion America is clearly subsidizing Europe.

In terms of percentages the US spends 3.4% of our GDP on defense and NATO countries average 1.55%, Germany spends only 1.3%.

The Europeans wave this away saying that the US is a global power. But the reality is that it's the US's global power that protects European interests around the world and pretending that isn't the case doesn't change reality.

We started subsidizing German defense in 1945 because the Soviet Union was a vicious imperialist superpower which openly said it had plans to conquer the world.

Hence paying to defend a devastated Germany made sense from a purely selfish perspective.  However now Germany is rich and Russia is poor--the Russian GDP is only $1.6 trillion or roughly 1/9 that of the EU-- and Russias imperialism seems limited to countries that it borders it makes no sense from an American centric perspective for you to pay taxes so that Germans don't.

It's obvious why the Germans want us to keep subsidizing their welfare state and their "green" energy programs but why do Democrats want your tax dollars going overseas to help foreigners?

The answer is that the Democrat party today is run by elites who don't really like America much.

The real problem with globalization isn't just that Americans lose jobs but that our leaders, administrators, college professors, media members identify more with their foreign counterparts than they do with their fellow Americans.

Democrats think they're better than we the people which is why they believe they should have the power to control every aspect of our lives from what our religious beliefs are to how much soda we can drink.

They tend to identify with the "elites" overseas who think the same way.

While they profess that they're the party of the little guy the policies of the Democrat party are tailored for the ultra rich, academics, government workers, and rich white people not plumbers, carpenters, car mechanics, and people who work at actually profitable businesses.

That's why when Trump's tax cuts dropped $1000 bonuses in the laps of many workers the Democrats said that that was nothing.  You have to be pretty rich to think that $1000 is nothing.

When you think about who to vote for in November remember that Democrats want you to pay to defend Germany when Germany isn't willing to pay to defend itself.

More kids are dying from schools being closed than from COVID19

That's the head of the CDC.

It's important to understand that Democrat politicians could care less if you die. In fact the more of we the people who do die the happier Democrats are.

That's because they think that if they can blame Trump for the deaths caused by the Chinese Communist government lying and not addressing the Chine virus when it first reared it's ugly head they will get elected.

Studies have shown the following:

1) People under 20 have a 1 in 1,250,000 chance of dying from COVID19

2) Europe has reopened schools and no problems have occurred

3) People over 70 are the ones most at risk from this virus

4) Shelter in place has led to higher suicide and family violence rates

5) Keeping children out of school will lead to more deaths than reopening schools

6) Children of color and poor kids in general do worse with distance learning than white kids do

The simple reality is that if we care about our kids we'd be reopening the schools not keeping them shut.

That's why 68% of American want to reopen the schools.

Democrat politicians don't care about the kids so they want the schools closed.

One key reason for that is that they think it'll help them get elected in November, and power is all Democrat politicians care about, and another is that the teacher's unions--which pour huge amounts of money into Democrat candidate's coffers--want to be paid to not work; they're currently saying that don't even want to do distance learning.

That distance learning hurts children of color more doesn't bother Democrat politicians a bit.  But then the shooting of thousands of Blacks in Democrat run cities doesn't phase them either.

The simple reality is the same Democrats who attacked Trump for putting a travel ban on China when the pandemic was starting are now trying to blame him for what the Chinese communists did.
